Help On Hand For New Years Resolutions

At last, there is help on hand for those of us determined to keep our New Year resolutions.

Pledgetodoit.com is the first organisation in the UK to offer tangible help for people to achieve their goals. The Dorset based company has launched a range of specially made Pledgetags, soft silicon wrist bands that give a physical reminder of a person’s determination to succeed. The bands can include personalised messages and have already attracted interest from triathletes as a training incentive.

Pledgetodoit director Simon Fenech says: “Most of us have a goal, something we want to achieve, quit or conquer; but so many of us fail through moments of weakness. Having a physical reminder of our determination to succeed can make the difference between giving in and succeeding. There is also an honour code, wearing the band will help enlist support and encouragement from friends and workmates to keep going. Break your resolution and you should remove the Pledgetag.”

The Pledgetags are waterproof silicon bands available in a wide range of colours. They can include a choice of set messages or individually created messages to encourage people in their personal goals. They are available singly or in bulk orders for clubs and associations.

Lisa Lampey, 29, of Poole in Dorset, is one of the first in Britain to try the new Pledgetag and says it really has boosted her determination to finish her training run at maximum effort. “I am training for my first ever London Marathon and it is all so much harder than I thought it would be. I tend to lapse towards the end of training but having this personal pledge on my wrist has definitely made a difference. I only put it on for training but I know some people have decided to wear them full time until they have achieved their goal,” she said.
