Pledgetag™ Testimonials

See how Pledgetag™ has helped others - how could it help you?

                                                08-2009

My wife got me a Pledgetag saying "Focus Marathon 09". I had planned on doing a marathon in the next 3 years before I hit 50 but not quite that soon. I've worn the Pledgetag permanently until yesterday when I completed my first ever marathon "The Yorkshire man Off Road Marathon". Seeing the band there every day helped to keep me focused and kept drawing my mind back to the marathon. So thank you Pledgetags, my wife Kirsten and all my running colleagues for helping me achieve my goal. PS Ordered next Pledgetag to get me focusing on my Shodan Karate grading.

You’re never too old to have goals!

The idea of my pledgetag was to emphasise in my mind that losing weight will make me faster. Did the pledgetag help? Absolutely!

Of course the pledgetag didn't make me lose the weight, but what it did do was give me a permanent reminder of why I was doing it. I wear it (and still wear it) always.

I chose to have the motto 'This is the opportunity' on my wristband. I first saw this at a football club and thought it is an effective motivation phrase. I first started to wear it for my cycling to get fit to motivate myself to push harder and further. I now also wear it when i coach my Under-8s football team as they are my opportunity to make a difference and help those reach their potential.

Thank you for a great wristband.

Just a quick note to say these things are genius!

I bought one earlier in the year to inspire me to do the London Triathlon. It really was a help in getting me out training and, once out, in helping me to push harder.

I have just ordered my second band to do the same job for the Ironman 70.3 and London tri for next year.

Keep up the good work!

The blue one arrived in time to wear to Switzerland and it was great to remind me to dig deep as the weather was torrential rain and even though I was fit enough I really had to dig deep to get around ! I managed to ride a PB and run a PB to shave an hour off my overall time to come in at 12.05! I was very pleased. The other Pledgetags were at home when we got back and so they have gone on already for the next Ironman in 6 weeks time and I am fully confident that they will help me push myself harder to go under 12 hours !

Thanks you so much and good luck with growing your small niche biz in to a household name.

Thanks for the support. I found the site from an advert in Ultra fit mag for the pledgetags, which I decided were just what I needed, both for inspiration and for ICE; hit the web to find out more and here I am. BTW the 'you can, you will' is a great idea. I wear it all day now so that when I feel it's all useless, my hand moves and then I see the band and remember what I CAN do. Thanks, it's a brilliant idea !

Thanks so much for sending one orange and one blue pledgetags as my prize. Both say “Consistency = Ironman” and I have given one to a friend, we are attempting our first Ironman next year and already it is helping keep me focussed on my training. We are thinking about doing Austria or Roth in 2009 but we are doing Weymouth HIM in June and Gerardmer in September.

Lots of people have asked what it is and I have enjoyed telling them about the tag and the Ironman plan. I shall be wearing my pledgetag at all my events this year.

Not only is Pledgetag a great motivational tool, giving you that little bit of an extra push just when you need it, but they can also work as potentially lifesaving devices. Whether your out on a training cycle or taking the dog for a walk, having your in case of emergency details on you in such a manner is such a reassurance....we make sure everyone in our office has one!! Pledgetag is a must have for any athlete of any calibre”

Love it! It’s around the top of one of my water bottles so that every time I have a drink on a long 3 hour ride I am reminded why I am out there braving the December chill.

Awesome - you know it's weird, but when your training and you look down and read it - somehow it just makes the pain more bearable! Really appreciate it and it has worked on long runs, weight training and it is a great talking point - just another chance to brag!

I am training for my first ever London Marathon and it is all so much harder than I thought it would be. I tend to lapse towards the end of training but having this personal pledge on my wrist has definitely made a difference. I only put it on for training but I know some people have decided to wear them full time until they have achieved their goal.

After ordering two custom bracelets at the Triexpo, I am really looking forward to wearing my 'pledge' on my arm to remind me of my goals and keep me motivated. The other bracelet is for a friend who just completed his third ironman! He inspires me to be better and keep fit - I thought it was the least I could do! I bought a pre-made pledgetag for a girlfriend and she loved it. Thanks guys!

Just thought i'd share with you something i have discovered, any one that has weight to lose will agree that sometimes we need constant reminders to be good !!!

I have discoverd those wrist bands that everyone is wearing, you can get them personalised with anything you want and even in your wedding colour !! no one even needs to know why your wearing it although if they ask you can say it's wedding motivation !! i'm gonna get one in pink , my wedding colour and just have the wedding date printed on it and when i get tempted or lack in motivation it will remind me whats important !! they are less than a tenner, you cant put a price on getting in that dress !!!
